Pilates is a full body workout with a focus on complete coordination of body, mind and spirit, creating efficiency and longevity in the body with an emphasis on core strength and spinal alignment. Developed by Joseph Pilates, exercises are designed to improve physical strength, flexibility, posture, mind/body coordination, awareness, and efficiency. Pilates can be an excellent form of injury prevention, rehabilitation for injury recovery, and a way to enhance sport performance.

I love to work one-on-one with clients of all ages and abilities, catering each session and exercise to the individual’s goals with an eye towards what their body needs at any given time.

In the words of one of my longtime virtual clients, "As a senior citizen newly discovering Pilates, Hannah has been a wonderful and patient teacher, moving me forward with each session and helping me grow beyond my goals with confidence. I always feel better after a session with Hannah."

All a virtual client needs is adequate space and a mat or soft surface to lie on and a laptop or other device that can be oriented so we can see each other. Props can enhance the session with additional challenges, support, and feedback during movement, including TheraBands, lightweight dumbbells under ten pounds, Pilates balls, Pilates magic circles, weighted poles, and foam rollers, but these are not required and can be added later.

Pilates sessions last 55 minutes. If you are ready to begin your Pilates practice or have any questions, please reach out to me via Instagram or email through my contact page above.
